Community Leader Awardees Youth Leadership & Education
Best of the Batch Foundation was founded in 1999 by Charlie Batch, a former NFL quarterback, entrepreneur, and community advocate, and is led by Executive Director Latasha Wilson-Batch, a dedicated leader whose vision expanded the foundation’s reach and introduced innovative programs. At the heart of the foundation is the Clubhouse, a space where K-12 students engage in STEAM education (coding, robotics, music production), Girl Talk (mentorship for young girls), homework help and tutoring, and daily hot meals daily. As the only completely free clubhouse in the area, Best of the Batch remains committed to empowering youth and strengthening communities.
Emerging Leader Awardee Workforce Development Community
Donta Green is the Executive Director of the Trade Institute of Pittsburgh (TIP), a nonprofit dedicated to empowering individuals with barriers to employment through skilled trade training and career opportunities. As TIP's second Executive Director, he has expanded the organization's impact, strengthening workforce development and community partnerships.
Beyond TIP, Donta is the head football coach at Pittsburgh Westinghouse High School. His leadership extends to community service, serving on advisory boards like Homewood Children's Village and Father Figures Academy.
Community Leader Awardee Housing
Marimba Milliones is a national leader in equitable development and a strategic nonprofit executive with a background in entrepreneurship, corporate leadership, and public-private partnerships. She specializes in urban-core redevelopment and advocates for policies and projects that center equity, culture, and economic empowerment for historically marginalized communities.
As a practitioner of equitable development, Marimba has led transformative initiatives, including a $70M city block redevelopment featuring historic restoration and mixed-use development. Marimba played a key role in negotiating a community benefits agreement with the NHL’s Pittsburgh Penguins, securing affordable housing policies and Pittsburgh’s largest-ever tax financing district.
Community Leader Awardee Health Equity
Daniel A. Onorato is the executive vice president and chief corporate affairs officer for Highmark Health, overseeing public policy, government affairs, community investment, and corporate communications. He chairs the Highmark Foundation, serves as executive director of the Caring Foundation, and sits on the Jefferson Foundation’s board and executive committee.
A respected leader in business and government, Mr. Onorato serves on the boards of the Pennsylvania Chamber of Commerce, Greater Pittsburgh Chamber of Commerce, Allegheny County Parks Foundation, and Catholic Charities of Pittsburgh. He is also a member of AHIP’s policy and regulatory affairs committee.
Civic Leader Awardee Equity & Social Justice
LaTrenda L. Sherrill is a consultant, entrepreneur, and advocate dedicated to education, equity, and community development. She is the Lead Consultant and Principal of Common Cause Consultants, a boutique firm that helps nonprofits, government agencies, and private companies address social issues through facilitation, project management, and strategic planning. She also founded LaTrenda Consulting, where she supports early-stage consultants navigating the gig economy.
Her career spans public and private sectors, including roles in education policy for the City of Pittsburgh, internal communications at GSK, and coaching for the Department of Human Services. A speaker at the Congressional Black Caucus Conference, she has also interviewed global leaders at One Young World.
