Evan Frazier is founder and CEO of The Advanced Leadership Institute, which partners with Carnegie Mellon University to develop African American executives for C-suite leadership. He previously served as Senior Vice President of Community Affairs at Highmark Health.
Lifetime Achievement Awardee
Sala Udin is a civil rights icon who participated in Mississippi Freedom Summer in 1964 and served ten years on Pittsburgh City Council. He established the Citizen's Police Review Board and continues his advocacy through the Coro Center for Civic Leadership.
Civic Leadership Awardee
Justice Cynthia A. Baldwin made history as the first African American woman elected to the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas and served on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. She has also chaired the boards of Penn State University and the Fulbright Association.
Emerging Leader Awardee
Kahlil G. Darden Jr. is the Founder and CEO of Young Black Motivated Kings and Queens, serving 300 youth daily through early childhood education, out of school time programming, and family centered initiatives in Greater Allegheny County. While still in college, he purchased and established the De’Avry A. Thomas Community Center, named in honor of his late godson, which houses a community food pantry, mental health therapy suite, and youth development spaces designed to serve the whole child and family. He is a graduate of Clark Atlanta University and a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
